Asaf was born in Tel Aviv, Israel where he lives and works currently. He has been working in editorial illustration since 1995 and has collabrotaed with his brother, Tomer on numerous projects. He recently contributed art for the award winnin animation, Walt with Bashir. He has been nominated for an Eisner award and for his graphic novel Pizzeria Kamikaze, written by Etgar Keret. For the past for four years he has been teaching illustration at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel- Aviv. His blog is here.
