Cochran was raised in Taiwan, Canada, and the U.S. and now currently lives in New York. He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His process includes using Photoshop for composition and design, traditional ink line work, silkscreen,and sometimes Adobe Illustrator. He is mostly influenced by old vintage children's book illustrations. Some of his clients include Atlantic Monthly, American Airlines, Bugaboo, Cramer Krassel, Discovery Channel , EA Sports, EMI Music, Entertainment Weekly, ESPN, Esquire, Fantagraphics Books, Faber and Faber, GQ.
