Illustrator Research 28: Tomer Hanuka









Tomer Hanuka is an Israeli born illustrator and a cartoonist based in New York City. At 22, after his mandatory three years in the Israeli military Tomer moved to the U.S. to study at the School of Visual Arts in NY. In 2008 he won the British Design Museum award as part of the Penguin Classics Deluxe Editions. He also frequently collaborates with his twin brother Asaf on projects like Bipolar book series. He has won several Society of Illustrators Gold Medal as well as Harvey and Ignatz awards. Currently he teaches at the School of Visual Arts and is working on a graphic novel with Asaf.
